What Reddit's own controls do

Reddit lets you pick Home over Popular, and it will hold that choice until something resets it — an app update, a new device, a logged-out session. You can also mute individual subreddits, one at a time, which is a long way round to a feed you already defined by joining things. The Popular and All tabs stay where they are either way.

What Reelmute removes from Reddit

the Popular and All feeds — already gone the moment Reddit opens in Reelmute. the video feed and promoted posts go too, whenever you want them gone. DMs, profiles, posts and search keep working.

Reelmute opens each network in its own space and strips the feed out before the page draws, so there is nothing to switch on again tomorrow. Shield the native app with Screen Time and this becomes the way in.
