Reelmute

A social media blocker that keeps your friends

Reelmute blocks the part of social media that eats the evening and keeps the part you use. Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Reddit and X open inside it with Reels, Shorts, For You, Explore and Popular removed; DMs, profiles, posts and search stay. Shield the native apps and appoint a designated adult who holds the key.

No Reels. No Shorts. Same friends.

One network free. $49.99 opens every network, for good.

How is this different from an app blocker?

An app blocker closes Instagram and takes your messages with it, so it gets switched off the first time a friend texts. Reelmute removes the feed and keeps the messages, which is why it stays on. When you do want the native apps shielded, it does that too, with Screen Time on iPhone and the app lock on Android.

The designated adult

Name a person. When you want time in a shielded app you ask, they decide how many minutes, and they can say no. They hold the private key and your phone only has the public half, so you cannot sign it off yourself. Being the adult is free, and the requests cross our relay sealed shut.

Price

One network is free. $49.99 once opens all six, for good. Or $2.99 a month, $19.99 a year. No ads, ever.

Questions

What is the best social media blocker for iPhone?
The one that stays on. Reelmute removes the endless feeds from six networks and keeps DMs, profiles, posts and search, so there is no reason to switch it off. It is on the App Store and Google Play.
Can I block social media but keep messages?
Yes. That is the design: Reels, Shorts, For You, Explore and Popular go; DMs stay on every network.
Can someone else hold the key?
Yes. Appoint a designated adult and they decide how much time you get in the shielded apps. They can say no.
Does it work on Android?
Yes. Reelmute is on Google Play with the same removals and an app lock.
