Support

Last updated 6 September 2026.

A real person reads every message, and we reply within two business days.

The quickest route is in the app: Settings → Contact support. It attaches your iOS version, Reelmute's version and your device model, which usually saves a round trip. An email address is optional — give one if you want a reply. By email, write to support@reelmute.app.

To ask for a network Reelmute doesn't cover yet, use Missing an app? Let us know at the bottom of the home screen. It goes into the same queue, and the ones asked for most are the ones built next. An email address is optional there — leave it blank and we still get the request, you just won't hear back.

Which networks work

Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Reddit and X. You open each one from Reelmute's home screen and it loads inside Reelmute with the endless-video surfaces already gone.

Reelmute is not a system-wide filter and doesn't change the networks' own apps. Opening Instagram from your home screen still gives you Instagram as it always was — the removals apply to the copy you open inside Reelmute. To put the standalone apps out of reach as well, that's what app locking is for.

Signing in

You sign in on the network's own page, exactly as you would in a browser. Reelmute never sees your username or password, and there's no Reelmute account to create.

Each network gets its own private storage inside Reelmute, so sessions stay separate from each other and from Safari, and they persist between launches — one sign-in per network. Signing out inside a network, or deleting Reelmute, clears that network's storage and you'll be asked again.

A feed is still showing

Two things to check.

If a removal is on and the feed is still there, the network has changed its page. Tell us which network and which removal — the rules are data, so the fix reaches you without an App Store update.

What's free, what's Premium

Free gets you one removal on one network, chosen by you, plus the "open in our app" prompt removed everywhere — without that one the filtered page doesn't work at all, so nobody pays for it. Your free pick can move to a different removal once every 30 days.

Premium switches on every removal on every network at once. Monthly, yearly, or one payment that never renews. Prices show in your own currency in the app. There are no ads on either tier.

Locking the apps themselves

Optional, and off until you set it up. It uses Apple's Screen Time, so iOS does the shielding.

If the picker is empty or the shield never appears, Screen Time is usually being managed by another device under Family Sharing. A device managed that way won't let an app apply its own shields.

Your designated adult

Optional, and the point of it is that you can't let yourself back in. You nominate someone — a partner, a friend, whoever is the sensible one — and from then on extra time is theirs to grant, in 5, 15, 30, 60 or 120 minutes.

If a request never arrives, check notifications are allowed for Reelmute on both phones. When a push can't be delivered, Reelmute sends the same request as a link you can pass along by message — nothing is lost, it just needs a tap.

Restoring and cancelling

Your data

There's no account and no profile. Your sign-ins, your browsing inside the networks, your removal choices, your app-lock selection and your stats live on your device. Deleting the app removes them. What does leave the device is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Reporting a bug

Use Settings → Contact support if you can — it attaches your device and version details for you. Otherwise email us with as much of this as you can: your iPhone or iPad model and iOS version, the Reelmute version shown in Settings, which network and which removal if it's about a feed, what you did, what you expected, what happened instead, and a screenshot if it helps show it.
